I was sitting at work, when my friend said to me, "Would you design my wedding invitation?"

 

Alison knew I had designed greeting cards and was shocked and dismayed that I was no longer pursuing it. I always enjoyed designing cards as occasions came up--I had recently designed my own wedding invitation, but I was also happy doing interior design now.

 

I watched Alison, attentive to EVERY detail of her wedding, pouring over thousands of ideas and one day I said--

"You know, I will do your invitation...if you still want." 

 

And then I was hooked...

The outcome is U-Illustrated---the "marrying" of my style of illustration with the story that needs to be told---Your story--In a unique, caring---one-of-a-kind way. The happiness of celebrations is the style of my art.

 

Being an illustrator and conceptual designer for over 20 years, I have created designs for my own greeting card line, tee shirts, hotel souvenirs, department stores, gift products, companies, you name it. My designs have helped open new stores, celebrate milestone events-for statues, cities, companies, friends and family.

 

For me, knowing the person who wants the design, and understanding them, and the importance of that occasion to them, is so much of my inspiration. Creating the design for Alison allowed me to share her joy for her wedding and bring that into the invitation for her guests.
